Automotive Service Advisor - Perm. FT

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you play a pivotal role in the automotive repair industry. Your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service, expert advice, and efficient support to clients visiting our automotive repair shop. Let’s dive into the details:

Key tasks & responsibilities:

1. Listening and Assessment:
- Listen attentively to customers’ accounts of issues and symptoms related to their vehicles.
- Take excellent notes about the problem to best communicate the client request to the service technician.
2. Warranty and Coverage Verification:
- Verify warranty, insurance, or contract coverage for the requested service.
- Calculate and provide customers with a clear estimate of expenses for resolving the issue.
3. Effective Communication:
- Explain the repair process to clients, ensuring they understand what to expect.
- Draft clear repair orders with all relevant information, including diagnostics and recommended solutions.
4. Collaboration and Resolution:
- Work closely with supervisors, repair technicians, and the rest of the team to provide a positive and expedient resolution for clients.
- Ensure seamless coordination between the service department and the customer.
5. Customer Service Excellence:
- Build strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and inquiries promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the repair process.
6. Skills and Qualifications:
- Great customer service skills: You’re the friendly face our clients rely on.
- Physical capability: Ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds (for handling parts and equipment).
- Strong written and mathematical skills: Precise communication is essential.

Accounting Technician - Perm. FT

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Technician, who will play a crucial role in the dealership.

Key tasks & responsibilities:

Reports: You provide sales and expense analyses, highlighting potential problem areas and opportunities for improved profitability relative to monthly and annual forecasts.
Financial Statements: Monthly, you prepare a complete financial statement according to dealership guidelines.
You ensure that all relevant accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection, and co-op advertising, are current and accurate.
Trend Analysis: Regularly interpret the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) to inform the dealer of developing trends.
Forecasting: Participate in the preparation of short- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership.
Management Reports: Provide detailed financial and management reports to department managers.
Cash Management: Maintain an effective cash management system, forecasting cash funds, and recommending profitable use of excess cash.
Depreciation Assessment: Direct assessment of depreciation rates for capital assets.
General Ledger Oversight: Review the general ledger, scheduled accounts, and investigate any unusual entries.
Bank Reconciliation: Ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floor plan payable.
Tax Compliance: Stay informed about tax code revisions and advise the dealer on operational adjustments needed.
Government Regulations: Ensure compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including payroll taxes, income taxes, and retirement plan records.
Computer System Management: Maximize utilization of the dealership computer system.
Insurance Management: Administer insurance renewals, purchase property and liability insurance, and process insurance claims.
Audit and Inventory: Coordinate annual audit (or review) and physical inventory.
Data Integrity: Continually improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealership.
Professionalism: Attend managers’ meetings and maintain a professional appearance.

Required Skills & Experience:

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in a timely manner.
Seven or more years experience as a senior-level accounting technician.
Strong knowledge and application of accounting principles and financial management.
Strong analytical skills.
Familiarity with dealership operations would be a significant asset.
