EFFECTIVE AUGUST 30th – VIP Rewards Changes
To all valued members of the Saskatoon Auto Connection family, we would like to sincerely thank you for your patronage and support. Since opening the doors of our Auto Care Service Centre in 2018 we have made it our mission to provide best-in-class products, services, and experiences to our customers. We were the first to introduce the VIP membership program from the very beginning and we remain the only shop (independent or otherwise) to continue to offer such a program. By now, you are familiar with the incredible savings and benefits that come along with being a VIP member. We want to assure you that we are going to continue to innovate and develop the program. As we prepare for the future, we are making some changes that will go into effect for all new memberships and renewals starting midnight August 30th. For those who recently purchased or renewed, you will not be immediately affected – your membership will remain as is and will not change until your next renewal date.
Why is it changing?
It is crucial for our continued success and long-term goals to remain competitive and grow our business. Inflationary factors, global supply chain issues and increasing wages to maintain the high caliber of our professional team are just some of the factors that prompted us to take a hard look at how we can continue to offer a compelling value proposition through our VIP program. The changes are necessary to ensure that it remains sustainable for the long term as economic and market conditions go through the current correction cycle.
So, what’s changing?
Some of the discounts and benefits will remain as they are, while others are changing slightly or becoming reward vouchers that you will earn within our dedicated mobile app. We are also introducing some new rewards that you will be able to earn with every visit to the shop. Specifically: the labour discount is changing from 30% to 20%; Free windshield stone chip repairs are changing from 5 per year to 3 per year; $50 warranty deductible co-pay is becoming standard to all customers (not just VIP members); Free tire repairs, detailing discounts, and windshield replacement discounts will now be assigned reward point values and will be earned as redeemable vouchers within the Auto connection VIP Rewards mobile app (there will be no limit as to how many vouchers you can earn); and lastly, over time we will be adding additional rewards to the VIP Rewards Program for redemption for discounts, products, or services. You will still continue to receive the same 10% off parts, 25% off tires, free courtesy car or shuttle van, and the front-of-line priority service you’ve come to expect.
Change is never easy. We promise to never compromise our level of service or professionalism and ask for your continued support and trust in us to deliver on that promise.
